Balancing Your Emotions with Ayurvedic Practices Part 1
Learn how Ayurveda addresses emotional balance. In this meeting you will identify causes of imbalanced emotions, mood disorders, and how Ayurveda can correct these imbalances. The meeting starts with a group meditation, a lecture, questions and answer sessions. Ayurveda lifestyle practices, herbal formulas, and floral essences will be discussed. Herbal teas will be served. The meeting is facilitated by long time Ayurveda Practitioner, Bonita Carol. She is also a psychotherapist/counselor at Within Holistic Counseling.
Bonita has 25 years of experience in helping people to reduce stress and improve the quality of their lives. She
has specific tools that soothe and quiet the nervous system. reduce anxiety and improve overall well being. Depending on your personal needs, she utilizes modalities that help settle the mind and body, evidence-based psychotherapy processes, ancient rituals that keep one physically and emotionally in balance, or nutritional therapy that helps with insomnia and digestion problems related to emotional stress.
Her combination of techniques address emotional
challenges, such as, shame, self-esteem, self-criticism, perfectionism, existential issues, grief, and relationships. In addition to counseling, she has extensive training in Ayurvedic Holistic Medicine and can integrate her 25 years of Ayurvedic experience into counseling if it is relevant to mental health and well being.
Bonita has a Masters Degree in Counseling that focused on Depth work, a Psycho-dynamic model, evidenced-based therapies, children, family, and couples. Additional training over the years included Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, Shadow work, Hakomi, Co-Dependency, Drama Therapy, Inner Child Work, and Voice Dialogue. Bonita has specialties include cultural awareness, anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, marital problems, LBGTQ challenges, autism and trauma.
